Asari Legal Partner Dmitry Kaysin Participates in Russian Bar Association Roundtable on Arbitration

On 23 April, Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) hosted a roundtable titled Current Issues in the Development and Application of Arbitration Legislation, organised by the Russian Bar Association.

Dmitry Kaysin, partner and co-head of Dispute Resolution at Asari Legal, took part in the event.

The roundtable featured representatives of leading arbitration institutions, officials of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, members of the judiciary, as well as practicing lawyers and academics. This year’s discussion marked the 10th anniversary of the Federal Law “On Arbitration (Arbitration Proceedings) in the Russian Federation” and provided an opportunity to reflect on how arbitration has developed in Russia.

The discussion covered a broad range of topics, including the application of mandatory procedural rules, conceptual approaches to the development of alternative dispute resolution, issues relating to the arbitrability of disputes involving a public element, the appointment and challenge of arbitrators, and the specifics of arbitration proceedings in the context of sanctions and in foreign jurisdictions.

Asari Legal’s participation in such professional discussions reflects the firm’s active role in developing arbitration practice and in shaping expert dialogue on the key issues of dispute resolution.
