Anton Sheronov, a Senior Associate and Attorney with Asari Legal’s Regulatory Practice, took part in the Pravo.ru conference Customs Law and Foreign Economic Activity in 2025, which brought together leading experts in the fields of foreign economic activity and customs regulation.
During the session Special Economic Measures in Foreign Economic Activity: Regulatory Development and Application in Practice, Mr Sheronov spoke in detail about:
“The government has recently extended the requirement for major exporters falling under Presidential Decree No. 771 of 11 October 2023 to sell foreign currency proceeds. On the other hand, the range of beneficial mechanisms for exporters continues to expand. One such example is the mechanism introduced in late 2024 that enables settlements without additional foreign currency sale, while also helping Russian importers in settlements with non-residents,” said Anton Sheronov in his speech.
