Alexander Borgoyakov is a partner in our Finance practice. He specializes in advising and representing Russian and international banks, companies and international institutions on a wide range of financial matters, including structured and syndicated lending, acquisition finance, project finance, asset finance and trade finance.
In addition, as former head of legal at an Austrian oil trading company, Alexander has significant experience in corporate law, compliance and commercial issues arising in international business transactions.

Stanislav Karandasov is a partner in our Dispute Resolution practice. He specializes in international arbitration and litigation. Dmitry Kaysin

Dmitry Kaysin is a co-head of the Dispute Resolution practice. He specializes in international arbitration, international litigation and litigation in commercial courts of the Russian Federation. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb). Dmitry is included in the list of arbitrators of the Arbitration Center at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Dmitry is also an associate professor at the Faculty of Law, HSE University, and teaches International Investment Arbitration to master’s students.

Anastasia Konstantinova is a partner in our Dispute Resolution practice and heads the Sanctions practice. She specializes in sanctions compliance and international litigation.

Ivan Meleshenko specializes in dispute resolution. He also heads our Forensics and Investigations practice. Ivan has extensive experience in developing comprehensive strategies for resolving corporate and commercial disputes, handling complex cross-border proceedings (including parallel litigation and arbitration in multiple jurisdictions), internal investigations, regulatory and law enforcement investigations, cross-border asset tracing and recovery. He also has significant experience in advising on Russian and international tax and customs matters.

Gayane Nadzharova is a partner in our Dispute Resolution practice and co-heads the Reputation Recovery practice. She specializes in international litigation and cross-border proceedings aimed at protecting honour, dignity and business reputation.
Gayane also has extensive experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and labour law, developing comprehensive PR strategies, and interacting with the media.

Alexander Lazarev is a partner in our Dispute Resolution practice and co-heads the Reputation Recovery practice. He specializes in complex civil and commercial disputes.
Alexander has extensive experience in representing clients in legal proceedings in various jurisdictions, including defamation, commercial and corporate disputes, bankruptcy proceedings and cross-border enforcement of court judgments and arbitral awards.

Lilia Badretdinova

Lilia Badretdinova is a counsel with Asari Legal’s Sanctions Practice. Lilia focuses mainly on advising on foreign sanctions regimes and sanctions compliance.
Lilia also has diverse experience in conducting compliance due diligence within M&A transactions, counterparties' audits, internal compliance investigations, as well as advising on regulatory issues related to the import into Russia/EAEU.

Nato Tskhakaya heads our Regulatory practice. She has 20 years of experience in law and specializes in a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters under Russian law, antitrust law and currency control regulation.

Ekaterina Kokareva is a counsel with Asari Legal’s Sanctions Practice. She has extensive experience in implementing and ensuring compliance with Russian and international regulatory requirements and standards in the areas of anti-corruption and sanctions, risk management, and legal protection of businesses. Before joining Asari Legal, Ekaterina spent over 15 years leading legal and compliance departments at international publicly traded IT, telecommunications, energy-sector and manufacturing companies.

Daniil Ivanov is a counsel with Asari Legal’s Corporate Practice. Daniil specialises in M&As, asset deals, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring. He advises clients on obtaining clearance for transactions resulting in economic concentration and strategic asset acquisitions. Daniil also has significant experience in corporate conflict resolution.

Varvara Voynova is a counsel with Asari Legal specialising in international arbitration and litigation in Russia and abroad. She also handles matters involving toxic assets, sanctions, and investigations.

Marina Smirnova is a Finance Practice counsel with Asari Legal. Marina possesses extensive experience in advising and representing both foreign and domestic lenders and borrowers on structuring and closing syndicated and bilateral financing deals, including, among other things, trade finance, financial restructuring, and project finance transactions.

Maria Shaubert is a Dispute Resolution counsel with Asari Legal. Maria focuses mainly on resolving international disputes. In addition, she has experience advising clients on M&As, corporate governance, capital markets, and sanctions compliance.
