Experts from China, India, South Africa and Singapore shared their experience with enforcement proceedings, examined the approaches currently taken by foreign courts, and discussed the challenges faced by Russian parties seeking to recover assets abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The panel featured:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Chen Jingjing<\/strong>, Partner at Haiwen &amp; Partners (China)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Daksh Ahluwalia<\/strong>, Founder and Managing Partner of Aikyam Law Offices (India);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Roelof du Plessis<\/strong>, Senior Counsel, Brooklyn Advocates\u2019 Chambers (South Africa)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Abraham Vergis<\/strong>, Senior Counsel and Managing Director of Providence Law Asia (Singapore)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More information about the event is available in the <a href=\"https:\/\/pravo.ru\/story\/265928\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pravo.ru report<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/asari.legal\/en\/team\/dmitriy-kaysin\/\">Dmitry Kaysin<\/a>, Partner and Co-Head of Dispute Resolution at Asari Legal, spoke at the RIAC Main Conference during the <strong><em>Who Has the Final Say? Jurisdiction and the Limits of the Kompetenz-Kompetenz Doctrine<\/em><\/strong> session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discussion focused on the delineation of powers between arbitral tribunals and state courts in resolving jurisdiction issues, as well as on the limits of judicial review over arbitral awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his presentation, Dmitry discussed an initiative put forward by a working group of the <strong>Agency for Strategic Initiatives<\/strong> as part of the implementation of the National Target Business Conditions Model. The initiative proposes that all arbitration-related matters be assigned to the jurisdiction of the commercial courts of cassation. Dmitry also advocated for enshrining <strong>anti-enforcement injunctions<\/strong> (i.e. court orders prohibiting the enforcement of arbitral awards) in Russian law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A detailed report on the session is also available on <a href=\"https:\/\/pravo.ru\/story\/265923\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pravo.ru<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 24 September, as part of the closing programme of RIAC 2026, Asari Legal hosted its traditional evening cruise along the Moskva River aboard a <strong>Radisson yacht<\/strong>. Around 200 guests joined colleagues and friends of the Congress for an evening\u2019s entertainment, accompanied by panoramic views of Moscow by night. Asari Legal\u2019s participation in RIAC 2026 continues the firm\u2019s ongoing work to foster professional dialogue in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution.
