How to navigate this dance with regulators was the focus of a seminar hosted by Asari Legal\u2019s Regulatory practice, titled <strong><em>Tango with Regulators: How Latin American Investors Can Close Deals in Russia<\/em><\/strong>, held on 5\u00a0March 2025.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was organised with the support of the NC SESLA association and brought together more than 40 participants, including representatives of Latin American diplomatic missions, trade offices, and the business community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the seminar, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asari.legal\/en\/team\/nato-czhakaya\/\">Nato Tskhakaya<\/a><\/strong>, Partner and Head of Asari Legal\u2019s Regulatory practice, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asari.legal\/en\/team\/dzhan-chelenk\/\">Dzhan Chelenk<\/a><\/strong>, Associate, addressed the key regulatory challenges that investors currently face when structuring transactions in the Russian market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The speakers discussed whether a \u201cfriendly\u201d jurisdiction status effectively provides immunity from restrictions and what practical advantages it may offer.
